Joydeep is a highly experienced and respected financial service professional in Kolkata, India. He has been actively involved in the investment research and analysis, funds management industry for the last 24 years, since 1997. His knowledge about the Indian market investment and portfolio is unparallel. His expertise involves Indian markets analysis and research; financial audit; asset allocation; risk management; multi-asset portfolio management; fundamental, technical, and quantitative analysis and investment manager research.

His professional experience involves holding several senior management roles in the funds management industry in India, including roles as head of commodities and derivatives for Nirmal Bang (a mid-tier broking firm); financial research and analyst/ risk management for HSBC India, investment research and advisory for India Bulls (one of the most reputed,  listed wealth management company in India), Zonal Head of Equity and Debt investments for Religare (a listed fund management company; Indian joint venture partner of Macquarie bank from 2007 to 2013 and ended up buying out MB in 2013; runs an Indian ETF listed on ASX  ).

Since 2014, he co-founded his own boutique funds management and advisory firm, specializing in equity research, fundamental and technical analysis, advisory, portfolio construction and trading for sophisticated investors, local family offices, ex-pat Indians and domestic institutions. Currently, his firm is managing an AUM of just under A$25 million.

He is a registered financial adviser with the Securities Board of India (SEBI). He has done his MBA in Finance, has a Bachelors of Commerce, a diploma in business, and is a CA (Intermediate).

In 2018, he joined the investment committee of Emerging Trillions Fund and is providing his expertise in gaining market insight, market and sector research, stock analysis, asset allocation, portfolio construction, and fund manager research. His expertise and decisions have played an integral role in Et funds success.

Subarna has over 17 year’s experience in Funds and asset management, stockbroking, commodities and derivative trading, research, analysis, portfolio construction, compliance, private equity, and investment advisory.

He has held several senior positions in the finance industry in India since 2004. Has was previously the zonal head of investments for Adventz group (an Indian investment company specialising in specific sector investments). Prior to that, he has held as the zonal head of equity investments in Religare and an institutional investment advisor for India Bulls.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, several professional certifications in Finance and is a SEBI registered financial advisor. 

In 2019, he joined the investment committee of Emerging Trillions Fund and is using his connections in the industry to connect us with broking houses, fund managers, custodians, legal, accounting and taxation firms, along with fund manager research, equity research and providing market and investment advice. His contacts in the industry have helped us immensely in securing great connections making the whole process of investing in India smooth and less cumbersome
